# Single Option Strategy

### What is a Single Option Strategy?

* A **Single Option** is a **one-leg strategy**
* It is the simplest setup
* It is best when you have a clear **bullish** or **bearish** opinion
* You are buying one option only

### Step 1: Bot & Strategy

* Choose **Single Option**
* Pick your broker
* Name your bot
* Choose the symbol you want to trade
* Choose this strategy if you want the simplest structure

### Step 2: Entry Rules

* **Delta**
  * Choose how responsive you want the option to be
  * Higher delta = stronger reaction, usually more expensive
  * Lower delta = cheaper, but needs a bigger move
* **Days to Expiration (DTE)**
  * Choose how much time you want the trade to have
  * Shorter DTE = cheaper, but less time
  * Longer DTE = more expensive, but more time
* **Min VIX / Max VIX**
  * Set the allowed volatility range if needed
* **Entry Time**
  * Choose when the bot can enter

### Step 3: Exit Rules

* Set a profit target
* Set a max loss
* Set when to close if the trade is not working
* Since long options lose value over time, exits are important

### Step 4: Risk

* Set how much to risk per trade
* Keep size under control
* Avoid overexposing yourself in one direction

### Step 5: Review

* Review the symbol, direction, delta, DTE, and risk settings before submitting
* Make sure the setup matches your market view
